Whew. This morning has been pretty rough. I'm just a little worn down today, but if I just keep putting one foot in front of the other, I'll be fine. I know that I can't jump over a mountain. I have to face each day as it comes. I woke up this morning with a goal to write something today and read some in a book I have. I also want to sit up for a few minutes later in the afternoon, so I've tried to stay on top of my pain this morning so that I can do that.
Sometimes I get overwhelmed looking at all of the things I want to do and can't do. I'm quickly reminded to celebrate the little things. I know I'm right where I'm supposed to be...I'm just not where I want to be. That's the good thing about a journey, though. You get an intense feeling of accomplishment and gratitude for how far you've come.
I'll leave you with something someone dear to me once said, "Anywhere worth going takes time."

Madison,
My doctor gave me the same advice when I was going through a bout of depression and panic attacks. It was a really rough time. When I asked him how do I "live" when I can hardly focus and he said, "just keeping putting one foot in front of the other, focus on that one step, get through it and then put the other foot in front of the other." It sounded so silly, but you know it got me through.
I applaud you for your goals and for sharing with us. You have learned so much while some of us older folk still struggle to learn it. Keep up the good work!
Carrie
I hope you're feeling better! I haven't forgotten Memories Rewind, I just thought of the perfect one today!
