Blogoversary, 100th Post, and a Giveaway

Thanks for all of your sweet comments on my About Me Series. That means a lot.

I said that I was going to talk more about my 100th post today. Here it goes. I thought it would take forever to get to 100 posts, but time has flown by. I've shared my life and had fun reading about others.

Today marks my blogoversary. I guess in a way I have two, though. I started blogging in August of 2006. It hadn't really caught on, so I was basically writing to myself. No one else was there to read it. I didn't get any enjoyment out of it, so I took a break. I'm glad I wasn't gone forever because now I look forward to writing posts. Sometimes I remember things that happened years ago, and think, "That would make a great post!" I love reading other blogs too. It's neat to get a glimpse into their lives. I read cooking blogs, decorating blogs, and family blogs. There are some cute kids out in blog land. This blog wouldn't be what it is today without my fabulous readers. Thanks for taking the time to read my blog when there are thousands to choose from. It's been a wonderful 3 years (1 year of serious blogging though). I'm excited to see what next year brings!

I would love to have this pillow for my art studio I just finished my very first art studio and I did it all in pin up girls and leopard oh I so love this I am going to hold my breath until I win it

I really enjoyed your story of your blogging. I am just now getting going on mine. I did a few and then got to busy with other things. But, now want to do it weekly. I would put this in my room as soon as you walk in my house on a white victorian chair I need to refinish. We just bought a chocolate brown sofa cover for the sofa in our new living room. I'd put it there. It would match perfectly!

I watched as Granny hung each garment on the clothesline. The sun was shining so bright I had to squint my eyes. Papa's old flannel shirts flapped in the breeze beside Granny's flowered house coats. I've changed my URL to http://dropletsonajournal.blogspot.com/ I've been racking my brain for weeks trying to come up with a good URL since I changed my blog name awhile back. Freewriting Day 19: Tangled Web

Just a reminder. Freewriting is when you just write. There is no set way to do it. This DOES NOT mean that my writing is free to be taken by others. I want to make that clear.
