The Father's Heart

The Father's heart beckons
The Father's heart reaches
The Father's heart gives

The Father's heart loves without limits, without conditions
The Father's heart sees past flesh and bones
The Father's heart sees within

When will we grasp
When will see
The needs all around us?

When will we love without measure
Not capping off our quota of good deeds

When will we give all?
Will we ever?

Will you stop putting love in a box?

Can't you see love can't be contained
It's too big
It's meant to seep into the cracks

Love is meant to heal
Not seek its own right or its own way

We don't have the Father's heart because we don't know what love really is

It's not flowery words or grand gestures
Love is found in the quiet whispers, in unassuming places and people

Love was found in a manager
Love hung on the Cross
Love counted everything lost

Oh, that we would seek to be uncomfortable!
Oh, that we would stop doing the same things day after day

Open your eyes to the "little things"
The things you wouldn't normally give a second glance

Love is there.
We've just stopped looking for it.

In our quest for happiness, we have stopped celebrating love.

The Father's heart desires that His children will answer the call.

"...Love one another. In the same way I loved you, you love one another. " (John 13:34)
