What Am I Doing?

Studying for a test. That's what I'm doing today and what I did part of the weekend. I'll be glad when it's over. I feel like I'm having information overload. UPDATE: I've finished the test. I feel tired and relieved. That was one long test! It was only twenty questions, but I ended up with four pages worth of answers. Rest is just what the doctor teacher ordered. If anyone knows how to strike through words, leave a comment.

Never in a Million Years...

Did I ever think of what I would name a band if I had one. This game is that chance! I saw on My Journey Toward: The Glamorous Life of a Housewife . It looked interesting, so I decided to join in the fun. Here are the rules: 1 - Go to "wikipedia." Hit “random”or click here . The first random wikipedia article you get is the name of your band. 2 - Go to "Random quotations" by clicking here . The last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album. 3 - Go to flickr and click on “explore the last seven days”or click here .Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover. Here's mine: Band Name: Avalon Theater Album Title: Every Fresh Crisis that Comes Album Cover: Click the picture to view more of mistylee's photos on Flickr.

Blog Is getting a Minor Facelift

No school tomorrow! That will give me some time to get ahead on some of my assignments. I finished my paper, what a relief! Does anyone know how to make your title fit into the header without spilling over? If you came by the other day, you might have noticed some changes, but it didn't look right. I also tried to add a description, but I couldn't see it. It was underneath the header. I really want to change my header because of safety reasons. The problem is, I really like this layout. I searched the Help section of Blogger, and posted my question. I haven't gotten any responses yet.

Trying to Get it Together

I'm getting a post together for a game I was tagged to play. I'm having to get permission to use the photos, so that's why I haven't posted it yet. It will be worth it. In other news, I'm still not feeling well, and I have an essay due Monday. Paper+Pain and sickness=bad news. So just pray please. UPDATE: I'm slowly but surely finishing my paper.

So, Just Where am I Supposed to Leave a Comment on this Blog?

Just so everyone knows, the comment section for each blog is at the TOP of each post instead of the bottom. It's one of the things I don't like about this layout. I've been noticing that people comment on one of my posts thinking that they're commenting on the right one, but it's actually the previous one. For example, a few people meant to comment on my "Things Your Science Teacher Didn't Tell You" post, but they commented on the jewelry giveaway. If it helps, look at the labels to make sure you're posting on the right one. It confused me at first too. P.S. I gave my personal narrative in one of my Communications classes today. The assignment was to tell a personal story about ourselves that was significant in shaping who we are as a person today. I was a little nervous that I wouldn't make it to the ten minute mark, but I made it to 9 minutes and 40 seconds(so close!). I'm so glad my story was able to help someone else. That's al

Things Your Science Teacher Didn't Tell You

Today started off like any other Saturday, I got up and played around on the computer for a little while. Then, I got down to business. I have to tell a personal story about myself in a class of mine. Since my practicing partner and I had conflicting schedules, he had the bright idea to tape it through our web cams and send it through e-mail. Perfect idea, right? No getting out and meeting somewhere only to stay for a few minutes. The problem ? It has to be ten minutes long, so I knew it'd be too big to send in an attachment. I spent the better part of my morning researching the best way to make the video smaller. Some places that claimed to be just what I needed at first glance actually wouldn't help at all. I finally read somewhere to drag the video into Windows Movie Maker and re save it. I didn't even know that my computer had a Windows movie maker on it. That did the trick and I was able to send it to my partner through e-mail. I was so happy to have mastered the we

Don't Moms Find the Greatest Things?

Image
Yes, they do. My mom was on her blog, browsing through other people's when she said, "I've found a new blog...and (you guessed it) she's having a FABULOUS giveaway ! This is my favorite giveaway to date. Why, you ask? It's not just any giveaway, it's one that includes jewelry made from Murano glass. I've perused her website as well, and the jewelry is as unique as the girl/woman who wears it. Don't believe me? Here's proof. Aren't you laughing at yourself for doubting me? I thought so. I guess for now you'll drool over these gorgeous necklaces until you're brve enough to admit to yourself that you love them and can think of a million outfits these could go with. I already have and I'm glad I did. Just click on her button on my sidebar to go find out more! You can thank me later.

Life happens...and Some People Wanna Know about It

I've just completed the first test of the semester in my history class. I feel good! (Name that song.) I studied a lot, and I only think I missed a few questions. The semester has been good so far. I did pretty well on another test last week that counted a LOT towards my grade. He decided we didn\'t have to to quizzes if everyone kept up with the reading, and to my surprise, everyone's be reading(for the most part). I kind of miss having the quizzes as a cushion to fall back on if needed. That's how it is in life, you don't anticipate needing something to fall back on, but you take comfort in thr fact that it's there. In other news, I'm going to the doctor about my ear. I've been having problems with it for awhile now. I know ithas fluid, but the meds haven't helped. This week has been a tough week for me physically, but after a much needed pep talk and a good dose of honesty, I've decided that this pain isn't going to rule my life. It's

Great Blog Discovery

I've discovered a great blog that I think you'll love. Who is the blogger that's caught my eye? No other than Ms. Nina. She's made over her site, so go check it out. She's doing lots of fun giveaways to commemorate the occasion. I originally "heard" about her through another blogger for her awesome V-day cards that she designed for her. She's a woman of many talents, blogger, designer, and I'm sure many more that I'm forgetting.
